One Day, Six Dog Events: Our Vegas Pup-Packed Saturday Adventure

This past Saturday, the Dog Friendly Las Vegas team set out to experience several dog-friendly events across the city, showcasing the vibrant local community and the incredible work being done by rescues, vendors, and organizations supporting pups in Las Vegas.

If you have your pack prepped with dog-booties, tons of water, cooling vests if it suits your pup and plenty of treats (for humans too) you may be able to beat our 6 event marathon!

Get Rattled – Rattlesnake Avoidance Training

The morning began with our own Roadie attending a Get Rattled – Rattlesnake Avoidance class at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension gardens. Roadie received hands-on training to recognize and avoid rattlesnakes, ensuring his safety during outdoor adventures.

For those interested in the full details of Roadie’s experience and a closer look at rattlesnake avoidance training, check out our full review here.

SNARL Charity Garage Sale

Next, we headed to the Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) Charity Garage Sale, a bi-annual event full of treasures to peruse, including plenty of dog-related items. All proceeds benefit SNARL and the dogs in their care.

Speaking with the team, we were struck by the generosity of the community, who donated countless items to support the rescue’s mission. The love of dogs was evident in every conversation and purchase, and it was heartwarming to see the community come together to help pups in need.

Un-Leashed Market in the Alley

After the garage sale, we made our way to the first-ever Un-Leashed Market in the Alley at UnCommons Las Vegas. The post-rain weather made for a perfect day to explore the event, which was bustling with pups, families, and vendors.

Several vendors were new to the market, including Bubba’s Bowl, serving hand-crafted, never-frozen dog food delivered fresh in the Las Vegas area, and The Daily George, a boutique-style vendor with custom dog jewelry, ornaments, and memorial items for pups who have crossed the rainbow bridge. Returning favorites included Zoomies Barkery and The Mutt Stop, both offering treats and goodies adored by local dogs.

Community groups and rescues added to the energy of the event. Beyond Riley, who supports local shelters, was present with some familiar faces and as always, a warm, welcoming team. Rescues including Vegas Roots Rescue, Animal Help Alliance, and Pawsitive Difference brought adoptable pups and shared information about their programs. VGK-9 Club with the Vegas Golden Knights was on-scene, speaking to visitors about their free-to-join community created club that marries fans and their love for dogs with meet-ups, offers and information.

With dog-bag receptacles, water fountains, and a community-focused atmosphere, Un-Leashed Market provided a perfect day out for both pups and their humans.

SNARL Adoption Event at St. Francis of Assist Annual Fall Festival

We continued our day at the SNARL Adoption Event held during the St. Francis of Assist Annual Fall Festival. The festival featured live music, delicious food, games, and a large selection of items to support SNARL. Puppies on-site were a hit with visitors, demonstrating the impact of community support for local rescues.

This event highlighted SNARL’s dedication to finding homes for dogs in need and the generosity of volunteers who make such events possible.

Paw Partners Unleashed Doggie Halloween Party

To wrap up our day, we stopped by the Doggie Halloween Party hosted by Allstate and Paw Partners Unleashed. The event was lively, with adorable pups in costume, a complimentary treat bar, a fun costume contest, and many little surprises.

Friends from Lost and Found Animal Foundation were on-site as well as adoptable dogs, adding to the festive atmosphere. By the time we left, even our adventurous Roadie was ready to call it a day after a full schedule of events.

Final Thoughts

From rattlesnake safety training to community-focused rescue events and dog-friendly markets, Saturday was a true celebration of Las Vegas’ dog-loving community. Each stop highlighted the passion, dedication, and generosity that makes the city a hub for pups and their people.

Whether you’re a local looking to explore dog-friendly events, a rescue volunteer, or just someone who loves seeing the community come together for pups, these events provided a full day of connection, fun, and support for dogs in need. We can’t wait to see what future editions of these events bring — and to share them with our readers.  Our only regret. . . that even puppies run out of energy and we couldn’t visit more!
